Digital twins explained, and what they do not tell you
The phrase digital twin gets thrown around as though everybody knows what it means. Here is the plain version, along with a warning about how much you can read into a name on a listing.
Digital twins
What a digital twin is
A digital twin is an AI character licensed from a real adult creator. In other words, the character is built under an arrangement with that person, and what you talk to is still software. That is the whole definition, and it is worth keeping it that modest. The twin is a product. It does not give you a window into anyone's life, opinions or schedule, and I would be wary of anyone who suggests otherwise, whether a fan page or a chat itself.
The people on this site are fictional
The characters profiled on this site are fictional personas. Their ages, jobs, hobbies and temperaments are all written details from a listing, and none of them describes a real human being. When you browse our character profiles, you are reading about invented people, in the same way you might read the back of a novel. That is why I am comfortable having strong opinions about them. I can say that one is good company and another is hard work without saying anything about anybody real.
Names on a series listing
Two of the series on the shows shelf carry the name of a real adult performer on the listing. All that tells you is that Candy has billed the series that way. A name on a listing is Candy billing and it tells you nothing further, so I draw no conclusions from it and neither should you. You will not find any claims here about who did what. For the same reason, we leave real people's lives out of this guide entirely.
Why this matters when you chat
Keeping it straight makes the whole thing more enjoyable, I think. A fictional persona can be as dramatic, rude or mysterious as she likes without anybody being involved. And if something on a listing looks confusing, the place to check is Candy itself, as listings change over time. We describe only what is listed, which you can read about on our about page, and we are an unofficial guide and not run by Candy.ai.
Quick answers
Is a character on this site a real person?
No. The characters profiled here are fictional personas, and their details come from their listings.
Does a real name on a series listing mean anything more?
Only that Candy billed it that way. It tells you nothing further, so we make no claim beyond it.
Is a digital twin the same as talking to the creator?
No. It is an AI character licensed from a real adult creator, so you are talking to software.
